LAPSOFLUX: Give us the scoop about your most iconic sports jackets ever?
JEFF: The Kobe piece. That’s probably my most famous jacket ever! With the unfortunate passing of Kobe, this jacket has become more iconic. There is a picture in the NBA Finals of Kobe having a moment while wearing the jacket, after winning the championship in Philadelphia, holding the trophy. This jacket is my most popular item in Los Angeles. This 2001 edition is an evolution of the 2000 Lakers championship jacket. I just really wanted to capture the whole feeling of the Los Angeles skyline and took a big approach for it by adding more purple. It worked out so perfectly. We also added the back 2 back and all the championships throughout the years.
LAPSOFLUX: Give us some insight on the Juice World collab?
JEFF: This was an amazing collaboration that we did with Amazon music. We decided to create a limited drop of only 100 pieces and also we released it only through Amazon music. We were honoring the life of Juice World, another music icon that left us way too soon. It was a pleasure working on this project and it was really exciting to be working with a meaningful limited edition collection like this. It was great because for this collection, we made it a bit more affordable, like a wool & leather type of varsity jacket.
LAPSOFLUX: Tell us more about the design and significance ?
JEFF: We incorporated some of the images I saw of his, that we felt represented him. I worked with his managers and his family who gave me ideas & we wanted to portray something that he would wear.
LAPSOFLUX: Tell us about your OVO Collab with Drake & The NBA?
This is a very exclusive project that we did; our second collaboration with OVO. Every single jacket is hand signed and has a limited edition patch. Every jacket came with an art piece, which I personally signed every original illustration. So when you get a jacket, you’re not only getting a jacket, you’re getting a collectable art-piece that goes with it. 250 limited jackets were released. When we do things like that, there is a highdemand for these types of releases.
