Victor Consunji, the driving force behind Victor Consunji Development Corporation (VCDC), reflects on the evolution of his company and the deeper meaning of legacy. VCDC’s origins trace back to a modest construction firm, where Victor and his team encountered firsthand the challenges clients faced during the home-building process. “Honestly, I can’t say that I ‘came up’ with the idea of VCDC,” Victor shares. “VCDC is a company that grew organically from its earlier iteration as a small construction firm. We were lucky enough to experience first-hand the difficulties that our clients experienced in executing their own projects, particularly homes.”

This hands-on experience revealed a recurring issue: clients often faced mismatches between their expectations and the reality of their projects. The realization that these gaps stemmed from misunderstandings rather than failures in construction or design inspired Victor to redefine the company’s approach. VCDC was established not just to build homes but to bridge the gap between client expectations and project realities, ensuring that each venture met, if not exceeded, the client’s vision.

Victor’s perspective on legacy is equally profound. He believes that legacy transcends fleeting popularity and is rooted in character and impact. “In today’s day and age, a legacy seems so fleeting, so easily forgotten, or so easily devalued, despite the hard work that has been exerted,” he notes. “Legacy is more about character, and whose lives it was that mattered most to you. It’s about enriching lives and being of good character, fair, and kind.” For Victor, legacy is not a construct of social media metrics but a measure of the lasting positive impact one leaves on those closest to them and society at large.

Through VCDC, Victor Consunji has carved out a space where exceptional craftsmanship meets deep-seated values. His commitment to understanding and addressing client needs, combined with his philosophical approach to legacy, underscores his vision of creating not just buildings but meaningful contributions to the communities he serves.

“LEADERS BUILD VISION. LEADERS DON’T NECESSARILY TELL PEOPLE WHAT TO DO. THEY GIVE PEOPLE AN IDEA. A UNITING IDEA THAT PEOPLE CAN BELIEVE IN, THAT THEY PERSONALLY WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN, AND TO ACTIVELY BE A PART OF. GIVE PEOPLE A PURPOSE THAT THEY ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF, AND THAT LEADER CREATES EVEN STRONGER CHAMPIONS OF THAT IDEA DOWN THE RANKS.” – VICTOR CONSUNJI

Victor Consunji’s VCDC has elevated luxury living to new heights with the introduction of Vie by VCDC at Bali, a cliffside development in Uluwatu that redefines the concept of vacation villas. “Vie by VCDC at Bali is a luxury cliffside development in Uluwatu with eight luxurious villas, established in a spectacular location that is simply breathtaking,” Victor explains. Nestled among high trees and exotic flora, these villas offer unrivaled views of the horizon, ocean, and a pristine stretch of beach, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings.

The development extends VCDC’s philosophy of transforming vacation villas into true living spaces. “Conceptually, we describe it as contemporary Southeast Asian design, fused with eco-luxe accoutrements and technology enhancements,” Victor describes. The villas feature stoned brick walls and expansive glass windows, with pathways lined by flowing water and natural ventilation, reflecting a commitment to integrating raw natural beauty with cutting-edge design.

Victor’s vision for Vie by VCDC is to transcend traditional vacation homes. “We’re taking the raw, natural beauty of Bali and elevating it with a unique expression of tropical modern architecture,” he notes. The villas incorporate meticulously selected materials, renewable energy sources, and advanced home automation to ensure they are not only luxurious but also sustainable and future-proof.

Looking ahead, Vie by VCDC is just the beginning. “The Uluwatu Development is just one of the many projects to be established in Bali,” Victor reveals. With plans to expand to locations such as Umalas, Kuwum, and Pererenan, VCDC aims to continue providing the ultimate villa living experience, setting a new benchmark for luxury and innovation in Bali.
